Once friends and family realized I was a beer enthusiast, they found great joy in buying me books about the subject. Beer books of every type - from tasting tips to historical references - starting showing up at birthday parties and the holiday gift exchange. Soon my book shelf was full of books on mega-breweries (vs micro-breweries) and a guide to state drinking laws throughout the country.
